Callie Sher,
(she/her)
MS, LMFT
Coming to therapy can be a difficult, scary, and vulnerable choice. That is why I believe it is important to meet people where they are at. My work as a therapist is relational, collaborative, systemic and compassionate. I believe that everyone holds an inner wisdom that serves as a compass for their healing journey. I love to support the process of helping people find meaning and purpose in their lives, build healthier relationships, connect with their bodies, and cultivate the level of acceptance and change they wish to have.
There is no one-size-fits-all technique to healing. Every person holds different strengths. I love to work with people to identify and connect with their strengths to support their process. As part of my practice, I am particularly interested in integrating mind and body practices. It can be rather easy to disconnect from the signals and messages our bodies are trying to tell us. I am passionate and love to work with people on growing a greater awareness of their bodies and how it intertwines with their overall mental health.
As part of my practice, I take an eclectic approach. I utilize narrative therapy, IFS, mindfulness, somatic-based approaches, family systems theory, emotionally focused therapy and play therapy. I enjoy working with children, teens, adults, couples and families. I have a particular interesting in working with:
- grief and loss
- trauma
- attachment issues
- anxiety/depression
- relationship and family issues
- cross cultural issues
- behavioral concerns
- parenting difficulties
- gender identity
- LGBTQ topics
I am honored and excited to begin working with you as you navigate your healing journey.
