Stephanie Grygie
MS, Psychotherapist
My name is Stephanie Grygiel and am a second career therapist with over ten years experience working as an engineer. My background in engineering has given me a great understanding of how systems work and interact with one another. We all belong to different systems in our lives: family, friends, work, school, and community. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves as they work towards change and healing within their systems.
Life can be complicated and full of surprises. Oftentimes we may feel overwhelmed or stuck. I want to work alongside you to gain insight into your story. Together we can find the tools needed to help navigate through life’s challenges. I believe that attending therapy can be a deeply personal decision to make. It is my goal to provide a safe and warm environment in which people feel comfortable sharing their story. I am committed to creating a judgement free space in which everyone in the room is seen and heard.
I am trained and certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator which is a program for couples looking to do premarital counseling or just wanting additional insight into their relationship and to one another.
My interests include working with individuals and couples who have experienced medical trauma or are trying to navigate their roles and relationships following a medical incident or diagnosis. Additionally, I am interested in working with couples, families, and adolescents as they work through life’s changes and the times when we feel stuck. I enjoy working with multiple people in the room as everyone’s voice matters.
I am currently a pre-licensed professional working under the supervision of Jennifer Knapp, MS, LMFT.
